A LIFE UPDATE AND A SWEET FAREWELL


HI COUSINS!

Things are going pretty well. I am a busy bee but in a good way. We have fragrance bars booked every weekend through June and some days there's multiple. Crazy. I enjoy it and meet lovely people all the time!

In terms of the Dr. Nikki side of things, I've been doing speaking engagements about wellness and super transparent convos all over. Last Friday night, I spoke about the importance of auditing ourselves and our interpersonal relationships at the book launch for Stuck to Stable by Life Coach DeeDee. I even have TWO incredible mentors ushering me into this new season of my life. Feels good. 

HOW TO EXPERIENCE ZIJ

  1. Shop our retail partners. If we’re are not available in your area, invite us! Also each Mix & Mingle Pickup is also a Popup!

  2. We have limited product available online at this time.

  3. We primarily focus on wholesale product by the gallon, event favors, and fragrance bar services.

  4. Established customers are always welcome to place a custom order. It’s very easy, just tell me what you’d like, whether it’s pickup or delivery, and must meet a $150 minimum.



IT'S DELTA SEASON!

The Deltas are EVERYWHERE and in celebration, I've dropped a limited release of 50 bottles of each of my Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc inspired blends for pickup or shipping. You may recall I partnered with the Washington DC Alumnae Chapter for our 57th National Convention last summer to create blends for some of the events.  The pickup date is April 25th and the shipping date is April 24th for these pre-made bottles. They’re gorgeous and will look beautiful on your FAVE Delta’s vanity. It definitely looks great on mine.


FAREWELL TO OUR SWEET PARIS
After like 5 beautiful years, Paris has stepped into her next chapter. If you’ve ever received a package from Zen in a Jar, visited the studio, or felt the intention behind this brand… you’ve experienced her. Paris has been such a grounding force behind the scenes and a huge part of what made everything feel so special. She learned to complement my neurodivergent brain and proactively manage me. It’s been YEARS since I was her “boss” she was my colleague.

If Paris has ever impacted you, I’d love for you to send her a note of thanks for her contribution to ZIJ. No pressure, of course. She has been the working relationship I am most proud of. She grew from a soft spoken high school junior to a WHOLE ADULT out here leading and advocating for herself. She is also an entrepreneur in her own right. The world is basically already hers. THIS WEEKEND

  • You can shop ZIJ at Flowers by Alexes and Relish Market this weekend. Check with the stores for hours and product availability. 


  • We will be with Her Flex Fitness at Anacostia Park on Saturday morning debuting  the “GET ME BODIED” STATION where you can refresh after the outdoor workout and apply body sprays, bug repellents and moisturizers. 


  • Saturday evening you can catch us at Mob The Block’s One Year Anniversary Party. We will have a Fragrance Bar on-site and they’ll be debuting their signature fragrance.

  • We will also be at the Mama Toto Soiree to close out Black Maternal Health Week with a beautiful and fragrant Bespoke Perfume Bar!
