EKENE is the name of our dish soap because it means “GRATITUDE” in Igbo. When you have meal, do you take a moment to reflect on everything that went into that preparation? You or a loved one's physical hands preparing that meal, the hands of the migrant workers who picked that produce from Queen Mother Earth who provided it, the butcher who shows up to work at 4 AM, the underpaid workers who had to package that food, the Farmers who start before the sun rises, etc. Next time you sit down and enjoy something delicious take a second when you cleanse your plate to reflect on Gratitude.
